socal edison tehachapi service center
The Southern California Edison Tehachapi Service Center project is a design-build upgrade to an existing five acre site by remodeling the existing administration building, developing an expansive building addition, and constructing a high performance truck repair garage. The overall site is improved with new pavement, parking lots, lighting and enhanced landscaping. The site layout is master planned to efficiently reorganize yard storage and large truck vehicular traffic. The overall project is designed to meet a LEED silver rating. The one story, 14,437 SF administration building houses new open and user specific office spaces, multipurpose room, conference room, locker rooms and miscellaneous IT and storage rooms. The existing building shell is finished with concrete masonry and exterior plaster and its addition is constructed of a pre-engineered metal building with complementary exterior plaster finished insulated panels. The truck repair garage building shell also makes use of cost efficient pre-engineered metal building technology and is finished with insulated metal panels. It is a one story, 10,581 SF building. The building houses two large truck service bays, a truck wash bay, storage rooms, equipment rooms and an auxiliary office wing, a break room and locker rooms.
