The Weatherite San Diego Office project was a Tenant Improvement in an existing 8,000 square foot industrial building in  San Diego, California  for a  mechanical servicing subcontractor. Weatherite’s CEO challenged Richard Yen & Associates to transform his typical office into an atypical office space. With longer hours spent in the office, the goal was to give the employees an upbeat comfortable space that was different from any other office they have experienced. The program includes a reception / waiting area, conference room, private offices, open office area, file / office support space and a centrally located open break / living room space.

The integration of non-typical building materials became the mode of transformation. From the stained concrete floors, overhead wood  and metal plains,  to the paintings and sculptural art displayed in private and communal areas in the office.  The office space evokes energy and comfort that is desirable in today's competitive business.
