The project is located in Santee, California on approximately 4 acres of land adjacent to the Santee Lakes Park. The project includes upgrades to the existing Construction & Operations yard for the Padre Dam Water District as well as a new 10,000 square feet Garage and Warehouse Building. The Garage will house three repair bays for Padre Dam fleet vehicles and a Garage Shop as well as the main storage/warehouse space for all the C&O needs. Part of the yard upgrades includes canopies for both storage and fleet vehicle parking with wash bays, secured storage and work space.
The Project site is located in the middle of the 100 year flood plain and the design team has been working with both the Client and the Authorities to find an appropriate solution to protect new structures on site and avoid any impact to the surrounding properties down and up stream. The design team has developed a solution that has been approved and is working on its implementation. This project has been redesigned by various other teams in the last few years and no other team was able to come up with a solution that satisfies both the Client and Authorities having jurisdiction. The Client is very pleased with the way the project is progressing and they are excited to have a feasible project in place
