sharp chula vista cancer center

In response to a request for a proposal from Sharp Healthcare, RY&A teamed with Lankford Development and Hensel Phelps Construction to provide a proposal for a new Cancer Center at the Sharp Chula Vista Medical Campus.  The building concept explores the integration between a healing patient focused environment and an architectural identity that provides a visually welcoming destination point.

In order to create a relaxing, stress-reducing atmosphere, the Cancer Center utilizes effective planning and design techniques that are employed in modern medical spas, such as spaciousness; natural, warm materials; soft indirect lighting; translucent glows; and modern elements to provide a "high tech, high touch" environment. When thoughtfully planned and designed, a facility can inspire, instill dignity and help to provide hope that treatment will indeed be successful.
