The Genoptix project is a two-story 60,000 square foot build-to-suit corporate office headquarters, in Carlsbad Research Park, California. Genoptix desire was to create a class A+ corporate office building.  The design goal was to create a very sophisticated, material rich environment. However, Genoptix is a very traditional office environment, with an 80/20 private office to open office organization.

The two story lobby is warm and inviting with clean lines delineating a composition of material. Limestone floors in varying size, flamed granite treads, glass risers with stainless steel rails, water features, cherry wood panels, gypsum board walls, wood & gypsum board ceiling soffits

 

proportionately balance the entry lobby.

The second floor users include executive suite, finance/accounting, legal, and human resources. Fully-integrated audiovisual boardroom conferencing, storage, copy center, and coffee stations and other typical support program requirements are included. Many other finish materials, 3-form panels, cement board, glass panels and gyp board compose a uniquely balanced open work environment.
